Abstract:As a unique rare wild animal in China, giant panda (Ailuropoda melanoleuca) has received high attention both at home and abroad for its living and habitat conditions. In recent years, livestock grazing is becoming more common in giant panda habitat, and has attracted a lot of attention. Some researchers have reported the phenomenon and studied the impact of grazing in giant panda habitat. In this review, we summarized and discussed the related researches concerning on the effects of livestock grazing on the food resources of giant panda, the spatial distribution and utilization of giant panda and livestock, the habitat selection of giant panda and livestock, the impact of relevant animal husbandry policies, and the response of giant panda to grazing disturbance. We tried to sum up the existing research findings and provide the basis for making more scientific and reasonable management plans. At the same time, we also discussed the current problems in order to provide some guidance for the future research.
